THE 2015 CONCOURS IN THE HILLS
The Concours in the Hills auto show, scheduled for February 7, 2015 at Fountain Park in Fountain Hills, Arizona, has generated considerable interest among the automobile community throughout the state. The leading car clubs of Arizona have requested dedicated areas for their members to display their vehicles, and based on initial reports over 300 cars are expected to participate – surpassing the 220 vehicles showcased in 2014.
Many exhibitors will congregate at The SHOPS at Gainey Village located on Scottsdale Road, and from there they will drive in convoy to the scenic location in Fountain Hills. Presenting sponsor, First Western Trust will be hosting a VIP tent for exhibitors and sponsors, and a continental breakfast and lunch will be offered.
The inaugural 2014 Concours in the Hills raised $25,500 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale. The upcoming 2015 event has already surpassed this amount with a goal of raising $50,000. All proceeds from the 2015 event will once again be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale.
“Concours in the Hills is not a formal “white glove” event in the traditional sense, but rather a gathering of automobile enthusiasts,” said Peter Volny, event founder and organizer of Concours in the Hills. “Exhibitors will range from million dollar plus cars, such as a rare 250+ MPH Bugatti Veyron, a Ferrari Enzo, and a German Amphicar that can drive straight from the road into the water thanks to twin propellers mounted under the rear bumper.”
Prizes will be awarded for ‘best domestic’, ‘best import’, and ‘best of show’. In addition, spectators are encouraged to select their favorites in the people’s choice awards. Spectator admission is free, and there will be unlimited parking surrounding the event.
